police say robbed a wal-mart store and then shot an employee there. take a look at the suspect. this is an image here from surveillance cameras. he is described as a white male way slim build wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. this all happened around 4:00 a.m. yesterday in laurel. police say after the suspect was given the cash, he forced the employee outside where he shot him. the suspect then took off and cops believe they found his car on fire in a nearby neighborhood. the store employee is expected to be okay. also in maryland, a shooting involving a prince george's county deputy. it all started around 7:30 last night when deputies were serving a temporary peace order at a home on 63rd avenue in east riverdale. investigators say a woman allowed a deputy into the home and then moments later, a map and with a gun. the deputy shot the unidentified 39-year-old map who has since died.

-- a man appeared with a begun. this shows people that police say are persons of interest in a robbery. the video shows a woman and three men at an unidentified faces but you can see their faces plain as day on this video. d.c. police say the group is wanted for questioning in the case. case. we continue to follow the developing story around former cia director david petraeus. he will now testify before house and senate intelligence committees on the deadly consulate attack in libya. he will testify in a classified setting so there will not be any cameras allowed. he will only address the attack on libya. more details are emerging about the woman involved that scandal. we now know the army suspended paula broadwell's security clearance. she is accused of having an

affair with petraeus. jill kelley is the other woman involved. we are told that kelley and her husband have v. a close relationship with petraeus and his wife and that the kelleys are in major debt owing more than $2 million on a building they used to season. president obama useed a stern tone when he addressed the benghazi attack touring his first news conference since husband re-election. he defended susan rice for her comments on the attack and blasted her critic. melanie alnwick is live with the latest. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. today, the house and senate intelligence committees hold their long-awaited hearings on the controversy surrounding the attack on the u.s. consulate in benghazi, libya. they are hoping to finally sort out what happened, why there wasn't enough security, who knew about the terrorist ties and whether they knew about that. president obama took on some of those controversies in a wide- ranging press conference yesterday. republicans have been furious about what they see as a

changing time line from the white house. ambassador chris stevens and three other americans were coiled trying to defend the post in that ambush. they say u.s. ambassador susan rice gave inaccurate information during her appearances on five sunday talk shows the week after the attack blaming the tax on a video that insulted the prophet mohammed. critics say it was deliberately misleading and they vow to block her nomination should she be nominated as u.s. secretary of state. rice was defended by the president yesterday. >> but for them to go after the u.n. ambassador who had nothing to do with benghazi and was simply mechanicking a presentation based on intelligence that she had received is outrageous. >> a lot of people think if she didn't have anything to do with the attack on white house then why did the white house hang her out to dry and put her on five sunday talk shows without

adequate information. we now now that at least in some corners of u.s. intelligence, they were aware that a terrorist organization took responsibility for that attack and it was most likely a preplanned assault, not a protest that got out of hand. so members of congress do hope they will hear a little bit more and get some of those questions answered today. we know that the house hearing guns at 10:15 this morning. the senate hearing at 2 charleston 30 this afternoon. both of those hearings are closed. closed. >> thank you. a public meeting scheduled for later today will allow residents to comment on the decision to close several d.c. public schools. nearly two dozen schools are targeted for closure. the meeting will be at the wilson building at 4:00 p.m. in montgomery count you -- count you, details on the proposed smoking ban will be revealed later on this morning t would ban smoking on all property owned or leased by the

combination of a bit of a breeze off to the east. showers down to the carolinas. they won't make it in here because of high pressure which will block it and push it out to sea. the trend today will be mostly cloudy and as we get into friday and saturday, mostly sunshine with slightly milder temperatures. we'll get to about 50 and by the weekend, close are to mid- 50s so a little better by saturday. clouds out there at the moment. put it in motion. 7:00 a.m., we'll have some clouds around. you might see a little sunshine here during the middle of the day but the clouds move back in later this afternoon. you can see the rain showers stay to our south. we are not concerned with rain but we will have clouds around here for your thursday. 50 your daytime high, wind north and east five to 10. plenty of clouds, still cool. we should be in the upper 50s to about 60. it will be a decent day. 38 tonight so getting cold again overnight with partly cloudy skies. here is your accu-weather seven- day forecast. a couple of things you might want to notice. the biggest being that we've taken the risk of rain showers at least now out of the sunday forecast. it looks like the weekend will

casino at arundel mills. this also comes after the approval of question seven by maryland voters. john henrehan has the story. >> reporter: david cordish of the cordish companies came in smiling. he was escorted by some of the hostesses that currently work at the maryland live casino. maryland live measured by the number of gaming stayings is the third largest casino in the united states. but on november 6th, maryland voters changed a lot of the rules for gaming opening the door to table games with human dealers. although state regulators have not yet issued final rules, the cordish companies are moving ahead now to beep up their work force. >> what we are really here to announce is the commencement of our hiring of 1200 new employees which, when added to the employees already here, will bring us very close to 3,000 employees.

>> reporter: partnering with anne arundel community college, the casino will offer a free 12- week course that will teach local residents how to be dealers at black jack tables or how to operate a roulette station. station. currently, maryland live closes down at 2:00 a.m. on weekdays and 4:00 a.m. on weekends. operators plan to use the new law to offer gaming 24 hours a day. gaming executives believe the addition of human operated table games will bring in some new customers who are not particular fans ever the current electronic gambling devices here. we asked current customers in they think it is true. >> the electronics are nice too but i like the human dealers. it field more like a casino if you got human dealers. >> reporter: paula was having a very good day at the electronic roulette table. what did you win? >> $1102 mortgage dollars. >> reporter: why do you prefer

in 2013. we will go up another 75 cents in 2014. the extra money will help pay for phase two of the metrorail extension to dulles. also new this morning, a public hearing is scheduled for today to discuss the proposed d.c. school closing. the d.c. public school system is inviting people to come in and voice their opinion about the decision to shut down 20 schools with low enrollment. the meeting is at 4:00 p.m. in the wilson building. to montgomery county now where doe tail of a proposed smoking ban will be revealed today as part of the american cancer society's great american smoke outevent. the ban would include all county properties except public right-of-ways. the event kicks off at 11:30 this morning at the council office building in rockville. our top story at 5:30, a deadly police shooting in a maryland neighborhood. prince george's county deputies went to serve a temporary peace order at a home on 63rd avenue in east riverdale around 7:30 last night. investigators say a woman

allowed a deputy to come up side the home and while they were talking to her, a man suddenly appeared with a gun. the deputy shot the unidentified 39-year-old man who late -- late are died at the hospital. police are continuing to look for a man who robbed a store employee and forced him to the parking lot where he shot him. police believe they found the suspect's getaway car on fire in a neighbor nearby neighborhood. a wanting now to women living in d.c. police say they are looking for four men wanted in a series of sexual assaults, robberies and abductions over the weekend. the suspects are described as being in their late teens or

a pair of twin tornadoes was caught on camera in japan this week. the twisters developed over the ocean just off the coast. tornadoes are rare in japan and these disintegrated before they hit land. no one was hurt and no reports of any damage. a car catches on fire on the new jersey turnpike. it is believed everyone inside the car got out okay. firefighters were able to put out the fire within a few minutes. no word though on what caused that fire. no doubt this new mom you are about to meet has her hands full. >> i would say. a california woman broke a world record by giving birth to the world's heaviest set of triplets. last week, brittany delivered three healthy baby boys weighing in at more than 20

series. in breaking dawn, you hit the physical transformation. what is the role you think you trance forced most for. >> genuine transformations, doesn't describe what i -- little so crazy to say you can be a completely different person. like you read something and something about it surprises you about yourself. you go i responded to something i didn't know i had inside of me and so making the movie is figuring out why you responded that way and so everyone i've played, i never felt like i was being somebody else. i felt like i was fining a different aspect of myself. >> your character wakes up and she has enhancements. she can't eat food. you have the ups and downs as a vampire. what are the up sides of being an actress and what are the down sides?

>> i've been working so much and i love that. i would go -- i love being challenged especially right now. i'm 22. it is an age you want to use like what you've got. you have ahe got so much bubbling underneath the surface. and you can really let a lot out as an actor. so that is my favorite thing i love feeling challenged at such a young age t it is hard to find what challenges you. i'm lucky for that. and the down sides of being an actress in hollywood, it is weird. like i -- it is hard to be specific about it. you start to sound like you -- i mean obviously, i don't really know anybody that loves paparazzi and stuff like that but at the same time, it's like i don't care. it is so worth it. >> we'll see what kevin has to
